It's a beautiful new day hey hey
OMG.

Finally got an internet connection so I'd like to assure my Flist that I'm still alive and un-undead. Sorry to worry anyone who hadn't heard from me today, but we are safe. Well, me, Meghan, Eric, and Roger are safe. My parents....

They left the house around 7:00am for work and I haven't heard from either of them since.

Luckily Meghan turned on the TV before she left the house. She came bursting in my room at 8:00am and grabbed my dad's rifle and shotgun. I thought she was having a pyschotic episode. Then Eric came in shouting for her to hurry up and I figured they couldn't BOTH be having the exact same delusions.

We baricaded the doors and windows and sat and watched the news till about 10am. That's when the power went out. It only just came back on. I'm hoping Dad made it to work cos it looks like Davis Monthan is the safest place in the city right now.

We haven't been attacked though.

Plus the power and phone lines are back on, so that's a good sign, right? We're trying to stay optimistic. All calls going into the base are busy though, and Mom's cell phone keeps going straight to voicemail.

I'm trying not to think about it.


I JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM MY MOM AND THEY ARE SAFE AT DAVIS MONTHAN AND APPARANTLY THE CRISIS IS OVER AND THEY WILL BE COMING HOME AS SOON AS THE ROADS CLEAR. I'm so relieved. This has been the most stressful day EVAR.

Also checked my Flist and apparantly prchung and it_grrl are both safe and un-zombified. bludfeast doesn't sound so lucky. Sounds like Phoenix got hit pretty hard. Large population. I wonder if ASU will still be open next semester...













Okay, don't get me wrong cos I think this zombie stuff is hilarious.... but I have an uncle in California who had to be hospitalized when he saw The Truman Show.... so I'm gonna end this with a nice reassuring THERE ARE NO ZOMBIES. YOU ARE SAFE. GO TURN ON CNN AND HAVE A COOKIE, YOU WILL BE FINE.
